If you want hardcore in your face, feet out wings cupped and locked goose hunting then you have come to the right place. Geese are our specialty; you may want to say that geese are an obsession with us guys here at Fish and Feathers. With well over 10,000 acres of leased and available land to hunt in western New York and the Finger Lakes region, chances of success are pretty certain. In fact they are Guaranteed. No Birds No Pay.

Goose hunts here are pretty standard; we hunt out of layout blinds (provided by outfitter). Set up usually consists of 5-8 dozen full body goose decoys with some shells in the mix for filler. Hunts will last as long as there are birds to shoot; on a slow day we will stay out as long as it takes….. Hell I’ll even bring lunch. Fish and Feathers will also process all birds shot (So your wife won’t throw a fit at you for picking birds in her kitchen).

Due to our location several goose hunts turn into some amazing duck hunts as well; this is just one of the many bonuses of hunting in our area. Some days we can fill a few limits of ducks before the first flight of geese.

Have you ever had hundreds of white geese touch down in your decoy spread? If not you may want to try snow goose hunting in the Finger Lakes region where a brunt of their migration takes place. These geese sometimes fly in flocks of thousands and are an absolute awe to see in flight. During the late winter snow goose season thousands of snows stage on the Finger Lakes; this provides us with one month of great snow goose hunting with a limit of 15 per person per day. This allows us to really lay the smack down and bring in huge bags of birds.

What to Bring:
Shotgun 20, 12, or 10 gauge with size 2 shot.
All shot must be non-toxic.
Waders or hip boots (Dependent on Situation)
Warm clothes, camouflage preferred.
Camera!
Coffee; if not for you maybe you want to bring one for the guide.
